Early in January we welcomed 'The Dome' to our school. It is shaped like a massive grey igloo.The dome took up half of our school hall! It is made from plastic and is 'blown up' into its igloo shape.
You get inside through a short tunnel. Inside the dome it is very dark. It needs to be dark inside so that the night sky can be projected onto the inside of the dome's ceiling. Here is their website. The children sit in a circle inside the dome and watch the 'night sky' in this mini planetarium.
