Our school has a Harvest Festival every year. This year we focused on Fair Trade. We learned about how hard it is to produce fair trade chocolate. It's a lot of work. You need to cut down the cocoa pods with a machette, cut them open, wrap them in banana leaves and then leave them for a couple weeks and dry in the sun. The bad beans are thrown away. The good ones are put in sacks and weighed. Then they are shipped to the factory. In the factory it's made in to chocolate bars . YUM YUM!
