The year 5 and 6 island project

In the year 5 and 6 we are making 3D islands in the class. Amy thinks that making the 3D island in the class is really fun! Rowanne said that all the cutting of the cardboard makes your arm tired. I think that it is great fun but you get quite messy but that is the whole point .

Year 6 jobs

Here at trinity school our year 6's each have a job. Here are some of the jobs;

Play time monitors have to wear some bibs and some cool hats and help at playtime.

Table monitors have to help clear away the tables at lunchthis is  fun,

 O.H.P stands for over head projector which monitors use in Assembly.

Music monitors put music on in assembley at the begining and end.

Year 6 jobs

This blog is about year six jobs .

Tables: when they put the tables away.

Registers: when they send the registers to the office. 

O.H.P: when they point to the music in the hall.

Play helpers: they  wear bibs that say play helpers in black on a yellow back ground and hats which are the same as the bibs. They help the younger children at playtime.

Music: when you put the music on and off.

Bell: when they ring the bell to say lunch time home time or break time.

Visitors when they show the visitors around and tell them about the school.

All the year 6's have a job.

My first name is Rowanne. I'm a year 5 and this is my first blog. This is all about me. I love animals and dogs. I also have 3 Guinea pigs, 1 dog, 15 fish and used to have a cat. And I have a mum, a brother called Guy and a dad. My hobbie's are art,violin, saxophone, recorder, sewing and walking the dog.My favourite food is chocolate and pizza. My least favourite food is lettuce.

Hello, my name is Abi and i'm in year 5, i'm a new blogger and i enjoy Judo and football .I play the drums and the violin. I'm working on grade two for violin.My favourite food is chips. One of my favourite films is Starstruck. I've got an older sister in year 7. I've got a hamster called Nigel Jerry Matthew Richard Greg Hammy Hamster Hammond Hefley Webb for short we call him Nigel or for even shorter we call him Nig! My favourite animal is a monkey and my second favourite animal is a bear.

The Year 9's Super Six

 You might be wondering what the super six are, well we're going to tell you. The super six are the six different languages that the year 9's from Gillots came and taught us. The languages that they taught us are French, Spanish, German, Polish, Portuguese and Bengali. They devised many different ways to teach us the languages from power points in spanish to Bengali Hook-a-duck.Now who could  organize and prepare such a wonderful and interesting morning for the upper juniors other than our very own french teacher Madame Orlando!

 Each class got split into 4 groups of seven and they took it in turns to participate in each event. We interviewed some classmates to see which event was their favourite. Beatrice said she loved the german twister and John liked the talk with the french and german ladies.

The Junior's Christmas production

This year the junior's Christmas production is the Nativity. Each class has a different part. These are the parts;

Miss Robinson-A dance in between each scene,

Mrs McNaughton-Inkeeper's scene,

Mrs Smith- The wise men (with King Herod and a cornet fanfare),

Mrs Griffths-The shepherds,

Mr Wright-The announcement of Jesus to Mary,

Mrs Greenhalgh-The birth of Jesus.

The Orchestra are also playing along with the production.You know what's going on so come and watch.

Miss Addis - Mrs Smith's student teacher.

Miss Addis is one of Mrs Smiths student teachers and I thought you might like to to find out about some of the things she said in the interview. Miss Addis likes being at Trinity. She has been here for four weeks as part of her course at Oxford Brookes University.  She has always wanted to work with children and really likes it. Her mum was a primary teacher and she was the person that inspired Miss Addis to be a teacher.She was scared about teaching  maths but she actually really enjoyed it in the end. She went to 3 different primary schools herself but only 1 secondary school. Miss Addis has  been playing a instrument since she was 7 when she learned the piano.When she was older she started playing the cello but she now plays the double base which I am sure is very fun. Before Miss Addis became a student teacher she freelanced for different orchestras on the double base.She was a music teacher in schools and has also had 8 cats in her life.

Drums

I like drums because Julian our teacher is very good.He explains things very well

and helps us. I would recommend drums to some one who wants to play a musical instrument.

The first song I ever plaid was a para diddle. I try to practice every day for 10 or 20 minutes

A new music challenge for the upper juniors

This term the upper juniors are lucky enough to be learning instrument, brass! There is a special teacher coming in to teach them. The instruments they will be learning are  cornets, baritone horn and trombones. The children are playing and learning in their classrooms on Friday mornings. At the same time they are learning to read music! We interviewed Izzy she said she is really enjoying learning brass and the sound is really loud, but cool. So far the children have had only one lesson with the instruments.
