The Junior's Christmas production

This year the junior's Christmas production is the Nativity. Each class has a different part. These are the parts;

Miss Robinson-A dance in between each scene,

Mrs McNaughton-Inkeeper's scene,

Mrs Smith- The wise men (with King Herod and a cornet fanfare),

Mrs Griffths-The shepherds,

Mr Wright-The announcement of Jesus to Mary,

Mrs Greenhalgh-The birth of Jesus.

The Orchestra are also playing along with the production.You know what's going on so come and watch.

The Infants Christmas Production

This year the infants are performing a production of Eddie the Penguin Saves the World. This play is about a penguin who discovers that the ice he lives on is being destroyed by pollution. He realises pollution is caused by humans. Eddie goes on a mission to teach people not to create so much pollution. The songs that the infants are singing are The Melting Song, We're the Great Big Polar Bears, The Walking Song, If Your Feeling Cool, Dress Hot, Trees, Recycling Song and One World. We think that One World is the best song. The infants will be performing on Tuesday the 8th at 6 o'clock and  Wednesday at 2 and 6 o'clock.

Zoom - Drama at Trinity!

The Drama Club had a vote to see what they would perform.They looked at several plays and the winner was Zoom! Jack (Yr 6) playedToby Tortoise and Emily (Yr 6) played Harvey Hare. They performed to a 'packed house' on two separate evenings (both of which were rather hot. It was a great success and everyone enjoyed it. Well done! The programmes for the event were designed by the children themselves, so another- well done!

BRAVO BRAVO to all the actors and Mrs Allum and Mrs Brown.

Orpheus Production at The Hexagon Theatre

Orpheus, a musical for children, written by our ex headteacher Mr Alfie Hay was performed at the Hexagon Theatre on 24th March 2009. It involved 10 schools altogether, including Trinity. Orpheus is a Greek myth where his wife Eurydice gets bitten by a snake and is taken to the underworld where Pluto (the king of the underworld) wants her to be his wife. But Orpheus doesn't want that so he asks the Gods and the Goddesses where he can find the entrance to the underworld. There he finds Ceberus the three headed dog that gaurds the gate to Hades. After that Orpheus finds Charon, Pluto's boat-rower who takes the men and women to Hades.

By the end Orpheus is allowed to leave with Eurydice but on the instruction that he does not look back at Eurydice until they get back to earth. But Pluto makes his Furies put him off. Orpheus looks back and gets trapped in the underworld with his true love forever.

The Emperors New Clothes

Today we are telling you about the Junior’s performance at Christmas (The Emperor’s New Clothes) so lets get on!

All the juniors performed this musical production to the whole school and parents on three separate occasions. Extracts were also later performed to the Stroke Club in the school hall.

The play was adapted to include all juniors in the performance through a variety of sketches. These included a fashion show, a spoof reality show 'The Kingdom's Got Talent' and choreographed dances and a special group who were the 'fanfare'!
