Dance Club

Dance club is very good.  It is run by three girls who I am good friends with. They teach us how to dance and we show them our dances. Sometimes Mrs Smith comes and watches us. The club is only a small group of people. The other day we were showing them our dances we danced to Cheryl Cole,Parachute. This club doesn't teach you how to do a certain type of dance they teach you different types of dance. I think it's a very good club, it's free and you're with your friends - what a good way to spend your lunch. If  you want to join it's in Mrs Smiths classroom at lunch time on Tuesday. It is only for year 5. So come along.

Goodbye Mrs Aldrige!

 We interviewed Mrs Aldrige before she left our school and she said she would miss the school the children and all the teachers. "It's been fun teaching in the school and I've seen lots of teachers, head teachers and pupils come and go. I can't believe that it's my turn now" she said. She also said that it will feel very strange not coming to school in the morning.

One of Mrs Aldriges favourite things is taking the Running Club because it means that she can enjoy running and also have the pleasure of teaching others how to enjoy it to. It's also good to know that she will carry on running as long as she can.

   I'm sure we will all miss her when she's gone.

The Musical Talents of our School Orchestra

We don't know a lot about our orchestra and only if you stay after school do you get to truly hear about what being in an orchestra is like. It's not perfect, sometimes its disastrous, but it is almost as good to listen to the practice as the performance because you really feel the fun in it all. I thought you would like to know a bit more about our orchestra so I decided to investigate.

Trinity School Orchestra has many different instruments such as flutes, percussion (drum- things that you bang, rattle or shake)piano, violins and cellos. A lot of people are new to each other this year. Orchestra is currently working on two pieces: Village Fair and Look at Me. But what makes people want to come to orchestra? Here are some comments from our orchestra members. Katie on violin said, "I come to orchestra because half the fun of learning to play an instrument is being in an orchestra". Beatrice, on piano, said "Orchestra is really fun and it is a completely different experience".

So that's a bit more information about orchestra and maybe if you play an instrument you might like to join.

Trinity blogger club first meeting 2009/2010

Trinity bloggers club had its first meeting today with brand new faces forming the new team. A parent volunteer showed us around the Trinity Times site and we all got reporter notebooks for our ideas.

Starlight Camp

On Friday the 5th June the year sixes camped out on the school field. Although it was very rainy we all had a great time. First we put up our tents while everybody was arriving before playing some games. There was football, tennis and skipping. Then we were told were we were sleeping.

Later on we had a barbecue. A delicious meal cooked by Mrs Smith, Miss Simmonds and Mrs Payne. Then it was just time to talk in your tent or play around. When it was dark we had a camp fire while being entertained by everyone.

At last it was bed time, well that's what the teachers thought anyway!!! In the morning loads of people got up at six and went into each others tents to have a chat.  Breakfast was cooked for us by Miss Simmonds and then we played some more in the rain before going home.

It was great time and thanks to Mrs Smith, Mrs McNaughton, Miss Simmonds, Mrs Payne, Mrs Brown for a great night out!

Goulish disco

This is a report about the Ghoulish disco which took place just after Half Term. Most of the school seemed to turn out for the evening, and they were dressed up as witches, ghouls, skeletons and other scary things.

It was the Halloween party of the YEAR!

Everyone got a big treat. There were many activities such as tuck shop, refreshments, What’s in the box?, BBQ, doughnut on a string, apple-bobbing and of course the 'DISCO'.
